Recently Apple announced the international release date for the iPad; UK is included in the areas that the device will be released in. UK cellular service providing company, O2, is wasting no time and already working to facilitate future UK iPad owners.
O2 has just announced details of the package it is offering for iPad devices. Both Wi-Fi and 3G versions of the device will be facilitated. The plan will be available to iPad owners without a long term contract. It will even include unlimited access to BT Openzone and Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots (the unlimited access feature will cost users nothing additional).
The plans will come with a data limit and whenever users are about to reach it, they will be sent a notification. This notification will include a direct link to iPad’s settings so that users can quickly verify their web usage.
O2’s micro-sim packs will be available from O2 retail stores and on their website. The specific pricing of the packages is: £2 a day for 500MB of data, £10 recurring every 30 days for 1GB of data, and £15 recurring every 30 days for 3GB of data.
