We have been following the developments of OnLive, the “cloud” gaming streaming service, which allows you to play some of the latest triple A titles without the need of a download, disc, or traditional console. Today its been revealed that the service will officially be coming to Britain after British Telecom purchased 2.6% of the American OnLive.
Specific launch details are still up in the air and details will probably not be revealed until the official US launch of the service this summer. However, for other European customers concerned about what this means for the exclusivity of OnLive, no need to fret. The deal with British Telecom only provides them with exclusivity on bundle deals and not the OnLive service itself.
OnLive’s US service will begin June 17th and run you $15 monthly for access to the service. This of course does not include the cost of renting or purchasing games. Check out a full list of titles to be available at launch here.
