Apple Announces iPhone 4! Specs-Video Chat, Gyroscope, A4 chip

Steve Jobs officially announced the new iPhone 4 with over 100 new features, just minutes ago at Apple’s WWDC event.

Its official, the next iPhone will be called iPhone 4 and will be released with the newly renamed iOS 4 on June 24th in the US, France, Germany, United Kingdom, and Japan. 18 other countries including Canada will be added in July, with 40 more by the end of September.

iPhone 4 specs:

“Face Time” Video Calling: (Wi-Fi Only)

960 x 640 display- 800:1 contrast ration, 4x better than the 3GS

front facing camera, micro SIM tray, camera and LED flash on the back…”

Camera specs:5 mega pixel camera, 5x digital zoom, tap to focus, backside illuminated sensor, records HD video

Gyroscope- “We’re adding a 3 axis gyro, and we tied the gyro and accelerometer, compass, and gyro together for six axis. It’s perfect for gaming.”

Battery life specs:

the iPhone 4 is powered by the A4 chip
