Steve Kondik, otherwise known as Cyanogen in the Android community is back to work on this CyanogenMod series of Roms. WIth the release of the source code for Android 2.2 Froyo, most of the top Devs are now able to construct and compile fully working Froyo Roms. This includes Cyanogen who recently tweeted that the CyanogenMod crew has plans to bring Android 2.2. Froyo to eight of the major Android handsets. The list of lucky handsets include:
We know that the a few of those devices on the list will be getting official Froyo updates, but that’s the problem, we never know when they might come. At least with Cyanogen we know that we will be getting the best possible work and they will come a hell of a lot sooner than any official carrier update.
