Evidence is starting to roll in that the Star Wars: The Old Republic closed beta will be taking place this weekend from June 25 -27. However, if you are not already quite active on The Old Republic forums, don’t get your hopes up. The rumor is there will only be around 100-200 invites sent out.
As of yet there is no official word from LucasArts, so you’ll have to check your email to see if you got lucky. Let us know if you want to share some screenshots of the beta with us and the rest of the Blogsdna community.
If you cant wait to get your hands on the title, set for release sometime in 2011, you can check out The Hope Cinematic trailer embedded below, courtesy of our friends at IGN.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is a persistent Online RPG developed by BioWare and LucasArts set 300 years after the events of Knights of the Old Republic. A release date for the PC exclusive title is to be announced in 2011.
