iPhone dev team are known to be working on iPhone 4 jailbreak & unlock however Redsn0w 0.9.5, the tool released by iPhone dev team can only jailbreak iPhone 3G iOS 4.0 & iPod Touch 2G 4.0. Whereas Pwnagetool 4.0.1 can jailbreak iPhone 3GS old bootrom which is only for Mac OS.

    Hi i have downloaded snowbreeze but after it verifies my ipsw it says if it is MC model it could not be Jailbroken and does not gives option about 3.1.2 blobs… what shall i do ?

    Are you guys retarded or did you not read the post…. It clearly says it can jailbreak iPod touch 3G if you have 3.2 shah blobs saved and if you don’t know what that is then go look it up… Read the post instead of asking pointless questions….

    Yes, but you must have SHSH blobs for 3.1.2 and be able to downgrade ur idevice to 3.1.2 then upgrade to the jailbroken 4.0 firmware.

    This doenst work with my iPod Touch 2nd Gen MC model with OS 4, and i dont have the shsh for 3.1.2 when i for got it i automatically updated, then did the research. and ideas????

    For the love of all things holy… YES this WILL work on MC model ipods! It clearly states in the blog that this is works on new bootroms (MC model).

    I have confirmed, I have 8gb ipod touch MC model running 4.0 Jailbroken using redsn0w v 1.7

    it wont work for ipod touch 2G on iOS 4 . Spirit is coming out with the jailbreaks for all of the 4.0 iDevices , so just wait until that comes out . i’ ve heard its coming out this week but noone knows for sure really . &, i’ve tried this jailbreak with my ipod touch 2G Mc model on ios 4 , so dont waste your time cus it wont work .

    i’m kinda counfused is ipod touch 2g 4.0 the same as ipod touch with the firmware version 2.2.1 ? cos its a second generattion itouch as well.

    Hey guys, I’ve updated to 4.0 on my iPod Touch 3g by accident without saving my SHSH blobs. I’ve had my iPod hacked before running 3.1.3 if that matters. Can someone please help me if there is a way to hack my iPod running 4.0 firmware without the SHSH blobs. PLEASE HELP!

    This are the steps how to jailbreak!!!
    Step 1: go on your ipod to safari
    step 2: go to this page http://www.jailbreakme.com/
    step 3: slide to jailbreak then you have to wait for a few minutes and than your ipod is jailbroken!!!!!!

    So after reading on the internet for HOURS, i decided to take my itouch 8gb MC model with 4.0.2 and just TRY to downgrade it to 4.0 so that i could use jailbreakme.com. It’s never been jailbroken and i didnt have my blob things backed up anywhere. Well to keep it short, it worked. I just did a shift-restore in itunes, downgraded, and went to jailbreakme.com. So for people who say that it can’t be jailbroken or downgraded are full of shit. I’m glad i just tried myself.
