The long awaited, and much hyped Windows Phone 7has reached a big milestone, Microsoft is ready to roll out the Windows Phone 7 Technical Preview to developers and manufacturers. With the expected launch of Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system, the Windows Mobile team has stepped it up a notch with the milestone release.
Microsoft has had about 1000 testers testing this build exclusively, and the lab itself has over 10,ooo devices currently testing out the technical preview. Thanks to all this strong effort, this latest build is very complete and one of the best builds ever churned out by the Windows Mobile team.
“We are certainly not done yet – but the craftsmen (and women) of our team have signed off that our software is now ready for the hands-on everyday use of a broad set of consumers around the world – and we’re looking forward to their feedback in the coming weeks, so that we can finish the best Windows Phone release ever together,” says Terry Myerson in his latest blog post. He also goes on to say “We’re almost there – but there is much work left to do. Together, with our early adopter customers, developers, OEM, and mobile operator partners we are in the home stretch.”
This is all good news, if you’re like me and anticiopating this version of Windows Phone to a huge success and able to compte with iOS and Android. Stay tuned, we will let you know as soon as the build is leaked into the open.
