During a Financial Analyst Meeting, Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner revealed that the company would be releasing a beta version of Internet Explorer 9 in September. Others are hinting at September 2nd for the specific release date.
The images above and below are from Chinese website cnBeta who claim these are screenshots of IE9. The images show the browsers new Chrome like “Popular Sites” page, as well as the new Download Manager. While the screenshots show a UI seemingly the same as IE8, many have reported that the browser will indeed get a full facelift before its official release.
We’ll keep you posted, as always, when more information about the beta of IE 9 is revealed.

Hummmm why would you be downloading a mac os x dmg image on software that is windows only?
And also the speed dial is far too ugly. If these are real they should at least give you the option to change the bg image on the speed dial, even on a beta release imo.
oh my gosh – it appears that Firefox and Chrome had a love child; a cheap one at that. I can’t wait to be regaled on Internet Explorer’s superiority on this one..
