Finally today Microsoft has provided much requested feature for it’s popular Windows Live Hotmail users: Hotmail now supports ActiveSync and Push mail support. The feature is now live for most of the platforms including iPhone, Android and Windows mobiles.
The ActiveSync feature will now enable users to keep their email, contacts and calendars pushed to and synced with their phones. Whenever anything in your email box, contacts or calendars are updated the changes will be reflected instantly on your phone.
Microsoft has enabled the push support using Exchange ActiveSync, which is available on nearly 300 million mobile phones. FYI the service will work only on mobile phones and not on your desktop clients.
To enable the service on your phone, simply select Exchange ActiveSync option and point the server address to m.hotmail.com
