While this will almost certainly not be the main music related announcement expected at Apple’s upcoming September 1st event, CNET is reporting that Steve Jobs is expected to announce that iTunes Song Samples will increase from 30 to 60 seconds.
The report says that a “large part” of the upcoming Apple event will focus on detailing changes to the iTunes user experience. On top of the song samples being increased to 60 seconds, they will also apparently talk about new features for discovering music. For those of you that are expecting Apple to introduce a cloud based iTunes, most reports are claiming Apple doesn’t have the distribution rights in place to do so.
We will of course keep you updated here at BlogsDNA, live as the Apple event happens September 1st at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern.
