Autodesk has officially announced their design software AutoCAD for the Mac. The software was Windows only until the release of the Mac version beta last May. Now the final version of AutoCAD for Mac OS X is confirmed and accompanying it is a universal iOS version for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad that will provide editing and sharing features.
Apple’s own Phil Schiller even announced, “Apple is thrilled that Autodesk is bringing AutoCAD back to the Mac and we think it’s the perfect combination for millions of design and engineering professionals.”
AutoCAD for Mac and the AutoCAD WS mobile application will be available sometime between August and October in Europe and North America with pre-orders beginning September 1st.
