SocialDeck are the creators of the popular iPhone game “Shake and Spell” and have also produced Spark that allows mobile gamers to play and chat with friends and recommend games, save games in cloud and so on. As quoted by SocialDeck, they are
super excited to announce that someone found our social games as fun as you have – in this case, that “someone” is Google.
Recently Google acquired Jambool, the creators of Social Gold virtual currency platform. Also in April this year, Google picked up Lab Pixies who specializes in gaming widgets. And it’s no longer a secret that Google is a major investor in Zynga, which came to fame by its infamous Farmville and Mafia Wars on Facebook.
So what does all these bits add up to? Is mobile gaming on cards for Google? It definitely is. With Android coming at par with iPhone and Chrome OS and Google TV both are looking forward to a large market share, there are going to be a large number of users on Google hardware and software who will definitely love to kill some time in gaming.
