Digg has finally made it public that it (read: Kevin Rose) has hired Matt Williams to replace Kevin Rose as the CEO. For the records, Matt Williams is a former Amazon Executive. On the company blog Kevin announced that he will still remain actively involved in the product but is handling daily errands to the new CEO.
The new news has come after 5 months from the date when Kevin had announced that the former CEO Jay Adelson would be leaving the company. Also new CEO has already been gifted with the new Digg 4.0 and some dissatisfied users.
In addition to the new CEO, the company also announced a series of fixes and upgrades after several users went onto “gaming” business. The latest set of fixes include overall stability, improved algorithms, timestamps and so on. More awaited features like “Top News” default page, upcoming stories and user recommendations will be coming soon.
