What is going on in Apple’s development offices? Are all the developers sleeping or enjoying too much FaceTime on their iPhone, so they unable to distinguish iPod Touch from an iPhone? We agree the differences between the two devices are shrinking but still an iPod Touch was never able to make (FaceTime) calls and hopefully won’t be in future.
The promotional image above is from Apple’s website showing iPod Touch 4G. Noticed something? Yes it has an emergency call button on the lower right side, on the iPod Touch passcode screen. Isn’t it ridiculous? Who will enjoy FaceTime at the time of emergency? Also as FaceTime works only over Wi-Fi for now, it would be useless in areas of no connectivity.
If you still think it was a slight Photoshop mistake from Apple’s artists, here is a bummer for you:
Could you find out the green Phone icon on the second iPod Touch that is partly hidden? Now this one bluntly murders my definition of iPod Touch.
We will not go any further and hope that Apple fix these “facepalm*s soon.
