Zune HD gets an upgrade. The Windows Live Team at Microsoft made an announcement, marking Messenger as the official part of Zune HD. With the upgrade, users can now connect with their Facebook and Windows Live accounts and stay connected with all the updates happening on Facebook as well as taking advantage of Facebook Chat. The Facebook App previously available for Zune HD would go obsolete after users glue to this service which brings an all-in-one package.

The new app also provides users with the accessibility of using Facebook content. Users can now sort friends Facebook updates, stay updated with the recent posts, videos, photos, links and status updates with the help of dedicated menus, get updates from messenger friends who post items to Flickr or MySpace, and much more to gain control over the app.
While the Messenger App has been made available on the Marketplace, Zune HD users have complained on downloading it on the device directly. Users had to download the software on the PC, and then to slide it on Zune HD.
