Apple recently started testing for their forthcoming AirPrint feature for iOS devices including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in the latest OS X and iTunes betas. However, sometime between the press release and now, Apple has apparently dropped support for the feature on second generation iPod touch devices.
The initial press release issued for AirPrint read, “*AirPrint will work with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (second generation and later).” Now it reads “*AirPrint will work with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (third generation and later).”
Originally accompanying the press release was the image below. As you can see from the image above, any mention of iPod touch 2nd generation has now been removed.
