Recently, Twitter redesigned the homepage and made it available to all Twitter users which is now integrates media into the sidebar of every user’s page. Today, the company announced that it has partnered with a third party organization to launch the first ever widget to be included in the Twitter page. A non-profit organization, Kiva, has built a widget which lets Twitter users to learn and track Kiva loans all around the world.
After adding the first ever widget to the Twitter sidebar, the social network seems to have given a go-ahead and we may be seeing more from the world of widgets. The team introduced a program called Tweets for Good which basically gives a platform to non-profits, bringing a base for to sound the message.
