iOS 4.1 Security Flaw Lets You to Bypass Lock Screen on iPhone


Here is an interesting bug or call it security flaw found in Apple iOS 4.1. The bug allows the users to bypass lock screen & access important details like contact list, phone call history, voicemail. The bug is exploited by inputting a random number in the emergency call field and then promptly hitting the hardware lock button which will take you to phone app. Additionally, selecting “share contact” and then the camera icon will give you access to the photo album.

It seems the bug is affecting iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4 on iOS 4.0.1 & above. No wonder Apple will fix this issue as soon as they confirm this bug. iOS 4.1 Jailbreakers should save SHSH blobs using Tiny Umbrella tool,
