ADVERTISEMENTS

itunes 10 downloadAs expected iTunes 10.1 has been released in preparation for iOS 4.2 release, which has now been delayed.  This release and the OS X update released the other day, are all esential to upcoming iOS 4.2 update.

What’s new in iTunes 10.1

  • Use AirPlay to instantly and wirelessly stream videos from iTunes to the all-new Apple TV.
  • Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2.
  • Provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.

As to what the stability and performance improvements are, Apple hasn’t really said too much.  They have their hands full at moment with the iOS WiFi issue.  The big features are the iOS 4.2 sync compatibility, and the AirPlay video addition.

iTunes 10.1 is available now for download at apple.com/itunes.  It’s obviously compatible with the usual suspects: Mac OS X 10.5 and higher, and Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 both 32bit and 64bit.
