The folks over at Sling Media have just announced the SlingPlayer Mobile app for iPad has finally hit the App Store. Like the iPhone version, the app will allow you to watch your home TV when connected to one of Sling’s set top boxes, the Slingbox SOLO or PRO-HD.
Unfortunately, the iPad app is separate from the iPhone version, meaning you will have to cough up another $29.99 if you want to grab the iPad version. However, you can continue using the iPhone version on your iPad in “Compatibility Mode”.
New features for the iPad version of the app include higher video quality, a new program guide, and iPad specific UI features. You can check out the video demo of the iPad version below.
You can grab the SlingPlayer Mobile app for iPad here, requires iOS 4.2 or higher and a Slingbox set top box. Sling Media also offers apps for Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Phone, and Palm.

$30 seems too expensive an app, even if its worth it. Nobody buys an app that expensive. Most of the iPad apps sold are impulse buys, and $30 is no impulse buy.So I prefer this free apps for watching video……….
