Copy & Paste Feature Coming To Windows Phone 7, Next Month


Microsoft’s Mobile Operating System, Windows Phone 7 is set to receive a major software update in the coming month. This would probably the best new year update rolled out to the Windows mobile users as announced by the Redmond-based software giant.

Apart from making updates related to the Copy and Paste functionality, the software update would roll out many other features but no official details were available on the update. Microsoft has to include this feature from the very start but due to some difficulties it had to postpone its availability for a few months.

Developer devices have already started to receive the software update which makes copy and paste possible on Windows Phone 7. The update is tagged to be the 7.07338.0 build. At least two WP7 developers have indicated on receiving the Microsoft update which enables them to copy and paste on a single tap.

Tap a word to highlight it with arrows appearing on each side allowing the inclusion of other words. An icon appears above the selection, allowing users to copy the text to the clipboard, from where the text is automatically pasted as an icon option in the top row of the keyboard.
