Australia’s favorite mobile phone carrier, Vodafone Australia, proudly announced the addition of a smartphone powered by Google’s strong and powerful Android Operating System, tagged as the Motorola Milestone 2. Smartphone users of the Australian market have long been hearing about the handset and with the recent announcement, users can now directly purchase the Android device from the wireless carrier.
Apart from announcing the release, Vodafone has forwarded various packages for the Motorola Milestone 2. Users can benefit from the $0 upfront cost on the carrier’s $85 per month plan. The offer is only available for users who sign-up for a 24-month contract with the carrier.
Other options include the $45 per month plan with the device fee being charged for $15 per month, or a $65 per month plan which includes a per month fee of $5. A small survey amongst the Australian’s revealed that the $65 per month plan is the most popular offer which provides users with a 2GB of data for mobile internet, infinite access to social networks including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, FourSquare & LinkedIn, unlimited minutes and texts, which sums up to a total of $1680 over 24 months.
