Kobo, a Canadian based eReading service with apps supported on almost all platforms including the BlackBerry, iPhone, Android and Palm Pre. Backed by Indigo Books & Music, Borders, REDgroup Retail, Cheung Kong Holdings, and other leaders in technology and retail. The open platform service has just announced the latest version its application which now includes the integration of Instapaper across all its iOS apps.
Instapaper is a tool which facilitates easy reading of long texts while allowing users to save articles and other types of web content, enabling offline reading.
Kobo CEO, Mike Serbinis, told:
People are constantly discovering a wide variety of great information on the web, but they don’t always have the time to read everything that they come across. With Kobo’s integration with Instapaper, readers can clip, save, and read this content anytime, anyplace they choose using the Kobo eReading application for iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
Users can easily sync Instapaper clippings on Kobo apps across all Apple devices with books, magazines and newspapers in Kobo Library. All content saved to Instapaper will automatically update in the Instapaper feed.
Furthermore, Kobo recently launched Reading Life within in the Kobo app. The feature allows readers an inside view into their reading habits and preferences, showing activity timelines, allowing them to share reviews and activity with friends as well as gain awards for just simply reading.
