T-Mobile UK announced the release of the new Android 2.2 “Froyo” Operating System update for the HTC Wildfire owners on its airwaves. After the announcement by the wireless carrier, the HTC Wildfire handsets were rolled out the software solution immediately.
Earlier, Vodafone UK was the first wireless carrier in the country to port the operating system upgrade on the HTC Wildfire owners. HTC Wildfire was earlier brought into the market this year, with the handset being a smaller version of the HTC Desire.

2.2 Update for the HTC Wildfire
As you will have seen HTC have announced that Android 2.2 will begin rolling out for the HTC Wildfire this week. We are pleased to confirm that customers with T-Mobile branded handsets will be receiving this update at the same time.
As with all HTC updates this will be a phased release over the coming weeks and you will receive an alert on your handset when it is ready to update.

A few months back, HTC had promised the release of this OS upgrade for its Wildfire device and finally deploying it to the users, providing them with a nice range of improvements. The complete roll-out of the new Android 2.2 OS for Wildfire should be completed by February next year.
With the update, the new solution would provide., increased overall performance levels, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, possibility to put apps on SD cards, and much more.
