ARCHOS, the french consumer electronics company manufacturing one of the most successful portable media players and portable storage devices, revealed that they would be unveiling a couple of new Portable Media Players (PMP), models 28 and 32, both being powered by Google’s Android Operating System.
The ARCHOS 28 and 32 PMPs , are an advanced version to the traditional MP3/MP4 players, adding features such as a Wi-Fi connection, backed with the Android framework, at the same price as a standard MP3 player. Delivering an 8GB storage capacity, users have the ability to store and listen to over 4000 songs.
Apart from playing and listening to songs, the Android based Portable Media Players consists of applications which allow users to chat, game and keep up with the social networking world, wherever you carry the compact sized gadget. Furthermore, the ARCHOS music tablets include Music Cover Carrousel, which is a built-in music application allowing users to browse through various album covers along with adding widgets to the home screen for access to media controls.
The Archos media player also sports an email app, coping with the tech-era in keeping users connected. Users also have access to the 3D world, thanks to the built-in accelerometer and 3D open GL technology which lets you play 3D Android games.

The ARCHOS 28 internet tablet would retail at $99.99 whereas the the ARCHOS 32 tablet would sell for $149.99.
