Yesterday, HTC announced the much awaited, Android 2.2 powered HTC Thunderbolt smartphone, and now, the ROM (also known as the “ROM Update Utility”) of this powerful smartphone has been ripped and leaked. It does not mean that, you can simply install the ROM on your Android smartphone. It is currently available only for the developers interested in checking out the stuffs inside this smartphone, without using the actual device.
From this ROM, the settings, apps and other stuffs can be extracted and added into other ROMs or the entire ROM can be ported to other devices. As I mentioned earlier, this ROM is currently available only for developers, but if you want to check out the ROM, just head over to this page and search for the file named “RUU_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.03.605.10_Radio_1.02.00.01 03_2r_NV_8k_1.37_9k_1.52_release_165253_signed.exe”
The HTC Thunderbolt leaked ROM weighs around 500 MB’s and it is 100% Bing free. Check out the boot animation of HTC Thunderbolt below. [ via. PocketNow ]
