iPad (2nd Generation?) will also be on Verizon

What some people don’t know about the Verizon iPhone event today was that the Verizon CFO, Francis Shammo, announced *briefly* that the iPad will soon have the ability to connect to the Verizon 3G network. You can already do this somewhat, but it requires a small accessory that you must carry around. Of course, this type of accessory is a nuisance, so Verizon will eventually incorporate a CDMA chip.Of course, what would make the most sense would be for this Verizon CDMA chip incorporated into the highly anticipated iPad second generation. Although this was briefly announced, there was no information given about when this will happen or how much it will cost.

It is great news overall, though. A great day for the Apple and Verizon communities.
