Introduced in 2009, the Dell Adamo tagged as the only MacBook Air rival brought in as a Windows alternative to the family of ultrathin laptop’s, will be discontinued once Dell sells the in-stock inventory. The notebook giant already took off the Adamo from the official website except for some refurbished models are still available. Even though the manufacturer pulled it out, other retailers are such as Amazon are still selling the laptop.
The discontinuation of Dell’s Adamo comes as a NO surprise. Somewhere around 2009, laptops enjoyed good sales over high pricing. Even though Dell brought down the prices from $2000 to $799, offering special deals, the computer maker never improved any of the specs.
Meanwhile, Apple kept refreshing the MacBook Air in order to keep it alive. With the help of thinner drives, the MacBook Air models kept increasing as Apple slashed prices to keep the atmosphere filled.
Even though Dell bid a farewell to the Adamo notebooks, Apple need not to be over excited. Lately Samsung showcased the 9 series, a 13.3 inch laptop measuring 0.64 inches thick, packed with a 128 GB solid state drive.
