LG Optimus 3D Up For Pre-Order In The UK

Earlier this week, LG announced the much-awaited Optimus 3D smartphone. It is the world’s first full 3D smartphone with dual cameras, which can record 3D videos in HD (720p) and the usual 2D videos in full HD (1080p). It is also the world’s first smartphone with the unique “tri-dual” configuration – dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory. We recently posted a video which clearly explains this technology.

If you are planning to buy this smartphone, then you won’t have to wait for long since Expansys, a popular online retailer in the UK is already taking pre-order for this powerful smartphone. If you are still not convinced with the dual camera and tri-dual configuration technology, then take a look at the powerful specs below.

LG Optimus 3D features a 4.3 inch 3D WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 1GHz Dual-Core and Dual-Channel TI OMAP4 processor, Android 2.2 OS, 5 megapixel dual-lens camera with full HD (1080p) video recording and playback in 2D and HD (720p) video recording and playback in 3D, HSPA+, HDMI, DLNA connectivity, Glasses-free 3D, Wi-Fi Connectivity, 4 GB LP DDR2, 8 GB memory and a 1500 mAh battery.

LG Optimus 3D runs on the Android 2.2 (FroYo) operating system, but it will be later updated to the latest Android Gingerbread OS. This handset is currently up for pre-order at Expansys in the UK for £514.99 (approx. $840 / Rs.38,000). This handset will be released on April 25th. The price of this device is pretty high as compared to other smartphones with the same specs. You can even get a Motorola Xoom tablet with couple of accessories at this price tag.

Will you buy this smartphone with such a high price tag? Or you will wait for other Android Gingerbread smartphones? Do let us know your views in the comments below. If you have finally decided to buy this smartphone, then head over to this page and pre-order the Optimus 3D smartphone.
