For long time users are asking for native screenshots feature in Android OS, and until now the only way to take screenshots on Android phones is to root it first and then install third party applications such as ShootMe & Screenshot App or use Android SDK to capture screen.
Well this will change with Android 2.3.3, PaulOBrien, MoDaCo forum admin & person behind Nexus S 2.3.3 root has found that Google has added support for screenshots without root in Gingerbread Android 2.3.3. This doesn’t mean there is any option to take screenshots on Android 2.3.3 but third party screenshots taking apps should come any time soon in Android market which can be easily installed without need of rooting your phone.
It is just matter of time for first screenshot taking apps based on Android 2.3.3 to appear in Google Android Market, but condition applied, you must be on Android 2.3.3 to take advantage of these screenshot taking third party apps.
