Thanks to Geohot’s Limera1n bootrom exploit it has made possible to jailbreak all idevices for any future iOS releases, however without help of additional kernel hacks this jailbreak will be tethered only meaning you have to connected to PC/Mac every time you reboot iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Apple can’t fix bootrom exploit but they can fix untethered jailbreak making all existing untethered jailbreak unusable .
With iOS 4.3 release, all dev teams are back to business at finding new kernel vulnerability for untethered iOS 4.3 Jailbreak and it looks Stefan Esser aka i0n1c has found first kernel exploit to get untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.
Here is video demo of iOS 4.3 Untethered Jailbreak
As per Stefan Esser, Apple may release iOS 4.3.1 and releasing untethered iOS 4.3 Jailbreak may get wasted. So don’t keep your hopes high for iOS 4.3 but we definitely have untethered jailbreak ready for iOS 4.3 and might also work on next iOS release.
