Motorola XOOM is the first tablet to feature the latest Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system. Motorola claimed that the XOOM tablet won’t support Adobe Flash at launch, but this problem has been finally solved. Motorola recently tweeted that a new firmware update will be pushed for the XOOM tablet, which will bring support for Adobe Flash 10.2.
The new firmware is numbered HRI66 and it comes with some fixes and improvements, along with the Adobe Flash 10.2 support. The complete changelog is not available at the moment. This update also fixes the Daylight Savings Time issues on the Motorola XOOM tablet.
The update will be rolling out in phases from tonight. Don’t panic if you don’t get the latest update, since it might take some days before the update to be available on your tablet device. This update will not be available for unlocked XOOM tablet, so you will need to restore your device to receive the update. Stay tuned for more updates.
