A sleek Samsung Series 9 laptop is available in the market now, which some claim could challenge MacBook Air.

The laptop has a display of 13 inches. It is just 0.64 inches thick, thinner than MacBook Air (0.68) and weighs under 3 pounds. But the reduction in the dynamics nowhere reflects its pricing. The Samsung Series 9 costs $1649 with Windows 7 Home Premium and $1699 with Windows 7 Professional.

The 13 inch Series 9 packs 128 GB SSD for storage. The storage capacity is half if compared to that of MacBook Air but the RAM is doubled to be 4 GB. Also an 11 inch Samsung Series 9 laptop is due in April.
