For quite sometime Motorola has been delaying the OTA update for DROID. The company had been facing some unknown issues but it appears, things have settled down finally. Verizon Wireless announced the availability of the update tagged as FRG83G starting today.
The OTA update for the Android would bring your device up to Android 2.2.2, still not being the Gingerbread but the latest version of Froyo. It resolves various issues including some SMS problems which were being sent out to the wrong people. For those users who haven’t been pushed out for the automatic update, can update their DROID handsets manually.
