Microsoft released the much hyped Internet Explorer 9 recently citing it as “Beauty of the Web”, putting an end to wide criticisms that Microsoft’s Web browser was getting old age and lacked much needed facelift in UI and features.
But as the rumors about Windows 8 are getting stronger, so are the rumors about the programs and applications to be released alongside with it. Prominent among them beingĀ Microsoft Office 15 and Internet Explorer 10. Rumors suggest that Windows 8 will come with Internet Explorer 10 pre-installed.
According to an interesting finding by an avid reader of AskVJ, when he was investigating various IE 9.0 files using famousĀ win32 resource viewer and modifying tool called Resource Hacker, he opened “ieframe.dll.mui” and found a secret dialog box which shows that Internet Explorer 10 is available for download.
To check it yourself launch Resource Hacker, and open “%windir%\System32\en-US\ieframe.dll.mui” file, if you’re using US English as the system wide language. Now goto Dialog -> 54528 and there you’ll spot it. Cool eh?
This seems to promise that Microsoft has already started working on next iteration of Internet Explorer and this dialog box will be shown once the update to it is available.
