Mozilla has just announced a release candidate of Firefox 4 browser for Android and Nokia Maemo.
The Android version of Firefox browser is codenamed Fennec and made first appearance in August last year, which was followed by a fast beta version landing in the Android Market. We had already reported that the RC version is coming soon and now it’s here.
Announcing the first RC of Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo, Mozilla has announced that the product is available in more than 10 languages in the Android Market. Firefox 4 RC for Android has several updates as compared to the previous beta version including overall improvement in the UI,tabbed browsing, Firefox addons, faster and smoother scrolling and also includes a more responsive version of Firefox Sync. Looks like this is the perfect time for launching the final version of Firefox 4 for Android as the official builds of Firefox 4 for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux have just been released.
