Good news for our readers in India. Always wanted that second Google branded smartphone but couldn’t get it directly in India? Samsung is all ready to launch Google Nexus S officially in India for an affordable price of Rs. 30,000.
Google Nexus S was the first smartphone to be equipped with the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread courtesy Google branding. Samsung gave the smartphone some real decent features too which plumped the sales of Nexus S. But Android enthusiasts in India either had to import it from outside India (read US), or there were some rumors about it being coming to online retailer and even Vodaphone launching it in India. But none of them came true and the people who own Google Nexus S in India had to pay heavy taxes to import it.
Now Samsung has confirmed the India launch of Google Nexus S for Rs. 30,400. But there is a slight different in the specs. The Indian model would be I9023 which has a 4-inch Super Clear LCD as opposed to normal model I9020 with Super AMOLED. Other features and specifications of the phone remain same.
Okay let us correct ourselves, maybe that’s not a slight variation. But that shouldn’t stop people in India to still go for this Android phone with great specs and the one which is destined to get OTA updates from Google directly as soon as they are ready.
