MWC (Mobile World Congress) is the combination of the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry and a congress featuring prominent Chief Executives representing mobile operators, vendors, and content owners from across the world. The 2010 chapter of the Congress will last from February 15th till February 18th. Already, we know that this year’s MWC is going to be a wonderfully grand event because of the unveiling of Windows Mobile 7, the much-hyped mobile operating systems which people have been waiting for impatiently.
Today we found out another great unveiling that will take place at the MWC. The maker of the world’s most popular mobile internet browser, Opera Software, plans to reveal the new Opera Mini for iPhone in an exclusive press and partner preview at the 2010 MWC.
The Opera Mini browser is known throughout the industry for its great compression technology which significantly speeds up webpage loading times and reduces data surcharges. The user-interface is also paid special attention with focus on favorite desktop features, Speed Dial, and password manager.
Opera will be introducing more of its applications at this year’s MWC which include:
- Opera Mobile 10 beta 3 for Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile
- Opera Mobile 10 for Android
- Opera’s cross-platform Widgets Manager (beta) for Windows Mobile and S60 handsets
If you are going to be at the MWC this year, remember to visit Opera’s exhibit in Hall 1, C44, to have a look at these great new applications.
