Version 2.0 of Camera Plus Pro, the app that aims at extending the capabilities of the iPhone’s photos.app, has officially went live on the App Store. A beta version of the latest update to the app was showed off at the Macworld Expo and shows some major improvements, including the ability to add video recording functionality to any model of iPhone. This means that even iPhone owners other than the 3GS crowd will be able to shoot video. There are also many integrated features for sharing and editing videos once they are filmed such as geotagging, commenting, and direct upload features for Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. This is not including all of the previous features Camera Plus Pro offered in older versions such as cropping, flipping, rotating, and other editing features, as well as date, copyright, and password-protection functions.
While it requires OS 3.1 or later, Camera Plus Pro is available in the App Store today for a modest $2 and works on the iPhone, 3G, and 3GS.
