Delicious is a wonderful website that has become highly popular amongst internet users. The site is a social bookmarking service that lets us store and share websites as bookmarks. If you like to share the interesting/amusing things the internet has to offer, there is a good chance that you already use Delicious.
Google Chrome is my default browser and I love its speedy responsiveness. For a long time I have been waiting for an official Delicious extension for Chrome but so far all we Chrome users had was a mere bookmarklet. Then along came an alpha version of a Delicious Chrome extension which performed the exact same function of the bookmarklet; the only difference was the extension’s icon position (it shifted from the bookmarks toolbar to the address bar).
Finally however, a proper Delicious extension for Chrome is available and can be gotten here.
Although still in its beta stage and still requiring quite a bit of testing, the extension does perform some basic features.
The extension places an icon in our Chrome’s address bar which we can click to store a bookmark.

While storing our bookmarks we can add various details that accompany it such as Notes and Tags.
Users have reported that the extension does not work at times and that multiple syncing often results in duplicate entries. These features are only confirming that this is truly a beta version – a flawed beta version.
As Delicious irons out the creases in their extension, I find it consoling to see that at least they are developing something to enhance the Delicious experience on Chrome.
