For a short while OnLive, the gaming console and cloud service offering high quality streaming of games, was the talk of the gaming world. However, everyone seemed to quickly lose interest as the launch of the product and service, at that time, was just too far out of sight. With the announcement that the service will officially be available for US customers come June 17th, its yet to be seen if gamers will take notice and what kind of an impact OnLive will be able to make in the gaming industry.

The service is said to cost $14.95 USD per month and, of course, renting or purchasing games will cost more beyond that. Although, some good news is that Kotaku reports that there are plans for cheaper per month plans for those willing to sign up for multi-month subscriptions. Some of the titles you can expect to see on the OnLive service at launch include Mass Effect 2, Assassin’s Creed II, Borderlands, Metro 2033, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and Dragon Age: Origins.
