According to CNN reporting from the SXSW, the Opera browser is weeks away from submiting a browser to Apple’s App Store for approval. The Norwegian company, Opera, known for making a fast browser for various platforms is putting the finishing touches on it iPhone based browser. According to the company the browser could be up to 6 times faster than Apple’s Safari browser. It remains to be seen if Apple will finally approve an app, that closely mimics there own web browser. The media is getting a sneak peak of the almost finished Opera beta at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival. When asked about the release, Opera spokesman Thomas Ford said “I can’t positively say the time frame, but I can say it’s very soon.” Whether or not Apple approves such app, is still up in the air. “I wouldn’t say we’re trying to back Apple into a corner,” Opera spokesman Thomas Ford said. “We feel that we’re very much following their rules.”
