Personally being an AT&T customers for over 10 years, and also being a devout Android users, I’ve had to rely on unlocked T-Mobile devices with just EDGE band connection. AT&T’s first Android phone, the Moto Backflip, was just released, but that’s a whole different story. Now Google has just updated the Nexus One site with AT&T and Rogers 3G support. The new version supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz UMTS. The unlocked version of the Nexus One costs $529 and is compatible with AT&T’s 3G network, but it is still a no contract offer. Great news for AT&T and Rogers subscribers across the US and Canada. With the Nexus One coming soon to Verizon, this could be the big improvement in sales, Google has been waiting for.
