Today the YouTube Mobile Team has released a new updated mobile Application so that YouTube videos play easily and quickly on Windows Mobile or Nokia S60 phones. The latest version of the YouTube Mobile app, version 2.4, according to the YouTube team, is meant to be the fastest way to find and play a video hosted on YouTube.
Some of the new features include added search query suggestions, ‘My Account’ support, and a new home screen user interface that is optimized for larger screens. With the new account support, you can log into your YouTube account on our phone, and view your favorites, subscriptions and playlists from wherever you are.
On the Nokia front the app is only officially supported on Symbian S60 3rd edition devices, but I have been reading through the comments on the YouTube Team blog and official Google Mobile blog and I’ve seen reports that the app may work on other Nokia devices, but the app should work on all Windows Mobile devices. To download the app on your Windows Mobile or Nokia S60 phone, visit m.youtube.com/app in your phone’s browser and follow instructions.
