More news from the AT&T front, Dell’s new smartphone, the Aero a.k.a the Dell Mini 3, is the next Android based device on AT&T’s roster. The Aero, is Dell’s first smartphone it’s selling inside the US. Exact specs haven’t been named for the Aero, but the few quick specs we know are it has a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.5-inch nHD display, GPS, and WiFi support. One interesting aspect is the custom UI, which might be built on top of the already ancient Android Donut 1.6.
Still this is only speculation, as we don’t yet know any real specifics, like is AT&T going to lock down this phone from 3rd party apps, like they did with the Motorola Backflip? The annoucement was part of a press release that included the Palm Pre and Pixi annoucement. You can see more of the Dell Aero at AT&T’s Aero page.
