The Verizon rumors are everywhere, they are also seem to be the biggest letdowns (we are all aware of the ongoing Droid rumors). It was thought that Verizon would release the Nexus One at CTIA last week, and when that didn’t happen everyone wondered when it would happen. Now the guys at Jkontherun are reporting that the Nexus One will be out sometime in April. That isn’t it, apparently the tipsters there are reporting that it will come with “something that the versions on other U.S. carriers lack.” What exactly does this mean? Nobody knows for sure, but some think it could be the addition of Flash 10.1, or upgraded touchscreen, or even the new optical trackpad we see in the HTC Desire. In any fashion, if there are some real big changes or even just one small edition, I don’t think it’s fair to every current Nexus One owner.
If that’s the case, Verizon or Google should technically change the name to something other than Nexus One. Today also brought us a blurry, leaked video showing the Nexus One for sale at a subsidized price on Google Phone page. Apparently it was only up, a very short time, but long enough for someone to have taken a screenshot of it. We do have to remember how easy something like this could of been faked. Stay tuned for any updates on this story. (via Jkontherun)
Update: Apparently the hold-up for the Verizon Nexus One has been because Skype wasn’t working well with Android 2.1. A little strange, don’t ya think?
