There have been many Spider-Man games over the years, some good, some bad. However, if there is one thing going for the upcoming web crawler game is the fact that it seems Activision is taking a whole new approach. The publisher has officially announced that the game, titled Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, is being developed by Beenox studios out of Quebec, with an original story by Marvel writer Dan Slott, and will see a multi-platform September release.
The next adventure for Peter Parker will see Spider-Man entering other dimensions, which will see greatly affect visuals and gameplay mechanics with Spidey’s mechanics and the environment around him changing throughout the experience.
This is what Activision had to say about the project,
“Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions delivers an original storyline that bridges four unique worlds,” Rob Kostich, Activision’s head of marketing, said in a statement. “Each action-packed universe will have its own detailed art design and thrilling missions, challenging gamers to use new skill sets to defeat enemies as they unlock powerful new moves and progress through the game.”
