With only one day to go, the iPad is getting its next round of calculated product placement on the most popular late shows including making an appearance on David Letterman’s show and the Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert last night. While Letterman simply made a few jokes and showed off how his cue cards could be used on the iPad, Colbert took a bit of different approach, although typical of his comedic style.
Stephen Colbert started the show off by bragging about his iPad while making fun of Amazon’s Kindle for being black and white. However, he also made fun of the iPhone by saying that, just like the iPhone, the iPad doesn’t make calls either. He went on to show off some of the iPad’s features including the ability to make salsa but trying to chop up peppers and tomatoes with the device itself (see image above).
