PCLinuxOS 2010 Edition Now Available for Download


Latest version of one of the most popular Linux distribution, PCLinuxOS 2010, is now available for download. PCLinuxOS is a free and easy to use Linux-based Operating System for x86 desktops or laptops. PCLinuxOS is distributed as a LiveCD, and can also be installed to your computer. PCLinuxOS has KDE as the default desktop manager. But it is available with desktop managers as Gnome, LXDE, XFCE etc. as well.

Some of the features of PCLinuxOS 2010 are:

  1. Linux Kernel -bfs for maximum desktop performance.
  2. Full KDE 4.4.2 desktop.
  3. Nvidia and ATI fglrx driver support.
  4. Extensive multimedia and wireless driver support.
  5. Printer support for many local and networked printers.
  6. Addlocale allows you to convert PCLinuxOS into over 60 languages.
  7. MyLiveCD allows you to take a snapshot of your installation and burn it to a LiveCD/DVD.

PCLinuxOS includes all of the latest popular applications such as Firefox 3.6.3, Thunderbird 3.0.4, Dropbox for online backup storage, Pidgin 2.6.6, Kymoney, Ktorrent, Gimp, Digikam, Amarok, Smplayer and much much more.
