While originally the Mac version of Valve’s game distribution app Steam was supposed to see its release sometime in April, today members of the game community received an email from Steam announcing the official release date of May 12th for the Mac OS X compatible Steam. No word on exactly what software will be available for Mac on day one, but you can expect the simultaneous multi-platform release of Portal 2 and future Valve games upon their release.
